CDCF is a child focused NGO with the vision of a society with functional framework for child’s growth and development. CDCF was established in 2007 with its area of focus as CHILD DEVELOPMENT; and CHILD PROTECTION.

We sensitise parents appropriately on the best ways to train and raise their children.
Adopt a School Child
Adopt a School Child is a support programme to assist indigent children in public primary and secondary schools to acquire quality education. The programme is the initiative of Child Development and Concern Foundation (CDCF) which came out of our findings that all children have the potentials to do well academically but this can be frustrated by lack of essential school needs and proper guidance. Even, if a child will go into vocational training, it is essential to have basic educational background to enhance his/her vocational knowledge.
Child Care and Protection
Child Protection is a worthy “means” to a desirable “end” of Child Development. Every child, as future leader, must enjoy the right to protection before and after birth. For a guaranteed future with potential for growth and development, an investment in the care of children has high futuristic value and will determine the placement of any society in comparison with others.
Civic and Moral Education
Civic and moral education is very vital to child development as it focuses on developing the moral well-being of children to enable them live by the values that guide them to take right action at all times.
Child’s Right Advocacy
CDCF have resolved to be guided by Child’s Rights Act, 2003, the domesticated version of African Charter on Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) as a major tool, and other child related policies to ensure child’s rights to Protection, Development, Survival and Participation.
